When I first heard Robert F. Kennedy Jr speak at Idea City in 2004 I was immediately inspired. He speaks about topics that are very near and dear to my heart; the environment, health, politics, media and of course how they interconnect. I was very impressed with his sincerity and the way he framed and delivered his message. I figure you should see what he has to say too. So here are a few clips of speeches he has given to various groups on various subjects.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the failure of U.S. media:
… We know more about Kate and Tom than we do about global warming. American people are, today, the best entertained and the least informed people on the face of the earth … 80% of Republicans are just Democrats that don’t know what’s going on …
“They are destroying the Constitution” Robert F. Kennedy Jr:
… it’s the biggest bunch of bologna when they say ‘well, we live in dangerous times’ … When I was a little boy, and we had 1500 nuclear warheads in Russia pointing at our country – each one able to destroy and entire city – that was dangerous times! But we didn’t wiretap our citizens, we didn’t torture people then, we didn’t suspend habeas corpus …
Robert Kennedy Jr. speaking in Burlington Vermont:
… They have put polluters in charge of all the agencies that are supposed to be protecting us from pollution … most of us don’t know about it or make the connection because we have a negligent and indolent press that has simply let down American democracy …
